It offers some fabulous panoramic views of the bay of Alanya and the rugged mountains. Within the boundary of the castle is the Red Tower and the Shipyards. Further afield is the town of Side, which has been likened to a living museum and is well worth a visit. A few kilometres to the east of Tosmur is Syedra and Anamur; both offer history buffs an exciting day out.
Restaurants: Tosmur has a wide range of chic boutique bars and cute restaurants, all offering international and local Turkish cuisine. Some of the bars offer live music in the summer months.
