Antalya

Antalya is the largest city on the Mediterranean coast and one of the most famous ones in this area.
Lately, Antalya has become an important tourism center in Turkey. One of the reasons for this is the fantastic weather of Antalya with apprroximately 300 days of the sun in a year.

Antalya is surrounded by impressive Taurus Mountains at the three sides. Mediterranean Sea lies to the south of Antalya. Antalya has two nice beaches at east called Lara with fine sand and at west called Konyaalti with pebbless.

Antalya beaches have international 'Blue Flag' for high quality swimming.
You can enjoy many things in Antalya such as swimming, diving, surfing, yacht tours, rafting, canoeing, aqua park, dolphinland, jeep safari, Turkish nights and many other amenities.
You can also join arranged tours to nearby historical cities like Perge, Aspendos, Side, Termessos, Chimera and others.

There are possibilities to travel to Denizli-Pamukkale with the ancient city Hieropolis or take a flight or bus to Cappadocia.
Antalya has many nice museums where you can see wonderful pieces from all surrounding ancient cities.

Antalya has a historical old centre behind the old harbour, called Kaleici. This place has narrow cobbled streets with old Ottoman houses and you may find here many restaurants, bars, shops and hotels, restored to retain its historic character. You can walk into old city from 3 different sides. One of the entrances from the east through Hadrian port which is dating back to 130 AD.

Antalya is a beautiful city with interesting places and one day is not enough to visit them all.
